Annoying teaser campaigns
I was cycling through Toorak today when I saw a poster that just said ‘can’t’ (set in Aachen bold). There was a link for a website “whatiscan’t.com”, and that was it.
The annoying thing is I can’t work out what it’s for, and if that’s what the point of this (nicely designed at least) p.r exercise. Simplicity and mystery definitely draws me in (prometheus teaser campaign a good recent example) but I soon get bored and lose interest if there’s no hook.
It’s easy to draw people in, but you better hope the prestige is good.
