(unrelated) I posted that state of wikipedia before, the agency (JESS3) responsible have a huge vault of data visualisation videos. You could spend a lot of time checking them out, some you may have seen before.

I think motion infographics are a commodity that brands and institutions actually need and want. Sometimes you feel that a lot of design is stuff that you want them to want, rather than the other way round. eg. a menu rebrand for a restaurant that perfectly likes their menu as it is. We enjoy huge quantities of information and sometimes dull statistics if they’re in a pretty package.
