I was reminded of the brilliance of NYT Cooking again, by this roundup list. It’s a monstrous site, with a huge amount of pictures, videos and written word to help you cook and eat better.

How could this content make itself more useful in the kitchen?

Here’s a lil mockup (pictured above) of a basic seeing space” for food prep.

Already, this creates a lot of questions.

Where’s the input? Voice? If information is projected, can we touch and manipulate, or are the controls separate, more like an Apple TV than an iPhone?

More helpful, would be direct input and feedback from the tools, and objects that you’re using.

Healthy habits of famous leaders: Joseph Joffre Edition

No matter how alarming the situation, how terrible the emergency, the tall and rotund generalissimo never seemed disturbed. He became famous for the care he took always to have a good lunch followed by a nap, end the day with a good dinner, and always get a full nights sleep (in bed at nine, back at work at five). Even when things seemed to be at their worst, he made his staff understand that under no circumstance was his rest to be disturbed.” - source
