Nike + for voice

With Nike moving away from wearable hardware, I wonder if the problem wasn’t the device, but what it was tracking.

Picture a tiny, clip-on microphone that communicates with your smartphone, recording your voice, and analysing the data for your self-improvement. 

After a quick calibration, there’s some interesting info to graphic: What percentage of your waking day do you spend talking? How many times did you laugh, shout, whisper? Do you converse in short bursts, or longer rambles? Could software score your tone on negative - positive scale? eg. Lighten up, you haven’t laughed all day!”?
