The amount of effort you put into something does not correlate directly to how much other people are willing to pay for it. You have to have reasonable expectations.
Marco Arment is talking about indie app development, but managing expectations (for everything) is a hard learnt but incredibly valuable skill. I can’t do it. But it’s an interesting thought. Would you enjoy never being disappointed if it meant you were never triumphantly surprised? What would you put money on in the long run: Grit or realism?undefined
