Facebook should do more interesting stuff with your notification/interactions data. It’s remained unchanged for ages (same with Twitter), as an archaic readout of everything that’s happened to your account.
It resembles more a list of commits than anything meaningful.
Imagine something like Nike’s ‘Year in Fuel’ posters, but constantly updating.
With their troths of data all about you, they could easily compile basic stats. Even a red to green ‘health bar’ might add another dimension to the current online social experience. It might do the opposite, as users with low interaction scores would feel unmotivated and sad, and would ‘miss old facebook :(’. Actually the more I think about this, the closer it resembles the thinking behind Dave Eggers’ ‘Participation rank’!! The circle is closing!
