Rap Genius & Mr. Porter make a point of editorialising content. I think this is a way for online spaces or ‘destinations’ to seriously differentiate themselves from competitors, and turn ‘content’ into something a little more memorable and addictive.
I can look up Givenchy or French Montana on wikipedia, and get raw, basic info, or I can go somewhere a little smarter and get contextual links, funny writing and be assured by some sort of ‘taste.’
