After putting it off all week, I went into town and started my photography project (2). The theme is the ‘human condition’. I had a few ideas, but I settled with Dishwasher’s as my subject. It’s kind of a niche, and a profession a lot of people look down on in general, and basically the lowest rung on the Hospitality ladder. These are guys who alot of the time can’t find any other work, may not be up for becoming a chef, but all the same play a crucial role in the kitchen; cafe, or commercial. I found about 10 kitchens today that let me go behind the scenes, funnily enough most of the time they thought I wanted to take a photo of the actual machines (dishwashers). How boring would that be?
